"Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel."

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a health care service that aims to facilitate the restoration of function from physical impairment and/or disabillity. The service involves:

  • a thorough evaluation and history,

  • a physical assessment and examination,

  • medical diagnosis; and

  • subsequent physical intervention treatment plans.

The aim of sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy is to allow a pain free return to sport or the activities of daily living.

Physio is currently only available at Tin Can Bay every second Monday.

Recognition of Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is widely recognised by major health funds and rebates may be available for your service. Please check with your health fund for more details.

In some circumstances physiotherapy can be claimed under Medicare. Speak to your GP to determine if you are eligible under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM). For more information about physiotherapy please click on the image to visit the Australian Physiotherapy Association website.

You may be referred to us by your doctor, but you are also welcome to book an appointment without a referral.
