MEDICARE AND ALLIED HEALTH - ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

Are you eligible for bulk billed exercise physiology and dietetic services?

The chronic disease management scheme is a Medicare based service which provides eligible candidates bulk billed health services, such as dietetics and exercise physiology, under the Medicare benefits scheme. This scheme is available at certain allied health practices, including Full Circle Wellness.

The referral and care plan process is led by your GP and can include an array of allied health services. To see if you are eligible to receive this benefit discuss the plan with your doctor.

Areas to consider include the following:

  • Do you currently suffer from, or at a high risk of suffering from, a chronic disease or condition?

  • Do you have high or low blood pressure?

  • Do you have or previous had cardiac or respiratory conditions?

  • Do you suffer from diabetes or are you pre-diabetic?

  • Are you overweight, underweight or need guidance in relation to body composition?

  • Do you suffer from pain and soreness?

  • Are you simply seeking guidance in relation to exercise to improve your movement and function levels?

  • Do you have specific exercise or diet goals that you wish to achieve ?

  • Are you worried about your health and wellness in general and feel exercise and or diet would be beneficial to manage your current lifestyle?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then you are potentially eligible to receive a GP led care plan.
