THE BENEFITS OF DAILY EXERCISE
Regardless of your shape or age, you should exercise daily, or at least 3 times per week. Apart from toning your body to give you that physique you have always desired, exercise also strengthens your muscles, improves your overall health, and keeps your bones strong. If you are eating right, condition your hair regularly and keep your skin clean, then you should include daily exercise to that routine. Here are some good reasons why you should make exercising part of your daily routine:
1. Fights Health Conditions
If you are worried about health conditions, or you just want to keep high blood pressure out of your life, then you need to maintain an active lifestyle. When you exercise you boost your good cholesterol levels and reduce unhealthy triglycerides. This helps your blood to flow smoothly, while minimising the risk of cardiovascular conditions. 2. Controls Weight
Exercise is one of the most effective methods of maintaining a healthy weight. Every time you engage in physical activities, you burn a considerable amount of calories. Therefore, if you are overweight, you should aim for at least 75 minutes of intense exercise or activity per week. Alternatively, you can pursue 150 minutes of light exercises per week. Both sets of training will help you to achieve a healthy weight. According to the Centre of Disease Control, you burn at least 1500 calories when you walk 5 kilometres daily, 4 days per week.
3. Exercise Boosts Energy
You might have noticed that every time you exercise, you feel invigorated and strong. However, if you sleep all day, you feel sick and sluggish. It might seem like a contradiction that burning energy gives you more energy. Whenever you work out, it improves muscle strength and enhances your endurance. Physical exercises also increase blood supply to the tissues, together with various nutrients. At the end of it all, you feel energized, refreshed and ready to face another day.
4. Improves Sex Life
Have you ever found yourself feeling as if you are too tired or bored to enjoy sexual intimacy? Well, before you plan a visit to the doctor or even contemplate swallowing some enhancing pills, you should consider some physical exercises. Chances are very high that exercises will boost your morale, and kick-start your sex life. Exercise has also been shown to increase arousal in women while boosting testosterone in men. Men who exercise frequently have minimal chances of developing erectile dysfunction as compared to those who are inactive.
5. Promotes Better Sleep
Exercises boost your energy levels, enable you to fall asleep easily and enjoy better quality sleep. However, avoid exercising too close to bedtime. You might be too active to find some sleep. When you train, you are basically exercising your mind and body. As you rejuvenate them, you also leave them tired at the end of the training session. This allows you to sleep deeper and better. When you sleep better, you wake up feeling refreshed and energized to handle the tasks ahead.
6. Bottom Line
Due to sedentary lifestyles, people tend to be less active nowadays. However, this inactivity comes with serious health consequences. Diseases like high blood pressure and obesity are attributed to inactive lifestyles. Therefore, if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle you should incorporate exercises into your daily routine. Space out your exercises but ensure you have at least 30 minutes of exercise per day.
